oli d’en Grau
Organically produced, using covercrops and sheep manure. Organic labelling next year. We harvest green olives early from the tree by hand, storing the olives in crates for 2 days before milling.
We extract the oil in a modern mill: vertical threshers and a two-phase decanter. The oil is unfiltered, and gravity decanted before bottling. Full of character with a hint of spiciness and an aroma of cut grass and wildflowers.
About La Gutina:
We are a family startup, run by father (Joan Carles), and his sons (Gerard and Aitor). We live in Alt Emporda, in the Alberes. We care for six hectares of old olive trees, and 3.5 hectares of young trees, which produce Argudell – an olive native to our land.
Our mission is to protect and revitalize our land by practicing organic sustainable agriculture which preserves the environment and its biodiversity.
